HUM OF LIGHT, 2023
Oil on canvas, 120 x 150 cm.
The Grid Space
Hum of Light explores how light behaves as a memory carrier. I approached brightness not as an aesthetic effect, but as a presence that reshapes space and perception. The work is built around the idea that light can feel emotional—soft, overwhelming, absent, or protective.
The painting developed through layering translucent fields and textured interruptions. Some sections appear to glow, while others resist visibility. This contrast reflects the way we remember certain parts of a place vividly, while others fade quietly into the background.
The result is a landscape without geography. It holds a kind of atmosphere that is internal yet shared—a visual hum that suggests continuity, care, and the invisible architecture of feeling.
